Successful 6-year relationship with Cox Enterprises providing executive coaching for high potential management personnel selected for the rigorous 10-month Executive Leadership Program. This involved management interface, Birkman™ Assessment and feedback, Profilor™ 360° feedback, comprehensive development planning, and on-going consultation and feedback to enhance overall leadership effectiveness. Results were accomplished to individual participants’ and Cox management’s complete satisfaction.

Successful coaching engagements as a CADDIE Coach for ChoicePoint, providing Birkman and career management consultation for IT technical and professional staff, including management-upward strategy, team leadership and development planning, succession planning strategy development, HR and conflict resolution consultation and performance enhancement.

Successful intervention with the VP of Diversity and Business Ethics of Georgia Power for the Supplier Diversity Department that reported to him. Engagement addressed employee relations issues, as well as leadership and managerial style ineffectiveness. Strategy involved individual consultation and behavioral assessment, plus comprehensive team building and strategic planning consultation to enhance team synergies and improve relations between the Manager and staff, and between individual team members. Success resulted in greater management effectiveness, improved team productivity and relationships within the entire department, and more effective achievement of strategic business objectives.

Intervention with Director of HR in an International Hotel and Airport retailer who was attempting to position herself more effectively in a culture change and senior management shift. Conducted Birkman assessment and feedback, created and reviewed career development plan. Developed strategy to identify incoming senior management style and personal promotional plan to build value within the environment. Result was greater confidence in leadership style and ultimate promotion to VP of HR position reporting directly to incoming CEO.

Intervention with VP of Operations and Sales of a Consumer Products manufacturer experiencing career change options within a culture change and glass ceiling challenges. Conducted Birkman feedback and reviewed managerial strengths vs. senior management and corporate results. Instilled confidence and empowerment to analyze current position with greater clarity. Developed strategy to approach top management with personal career objectives which wasn’t compatible with corporate shift in direction. Developed career management path and led to new Senior Executive role with Metro Chamber.

Intervention with General Manager of major high tech and electronics manufacturer experiencing change of management and declining productivity. Met with senior management to determine coaching and development objectives. Consulted with candidate to identify personal goals and developmental needs. Conducted Birkman feedback and created operational strategy. Toured facility, interviewed staff and I recommended need for management re-organization and operational enhancements. Also suggested improved communications strategy with boss, leading to greater upward management capability. Productivity was enhanced and candidate was promoted to new position with expanded career portfolio.

Senior VP Finance with major bank experiencing changing corporate culture resulting from merger and acquisition, and deciding between staying in current role, a lateral move or alternative career options. Conducted Birkman feedback, reviewed career objectives, analysis of senior management styles. Advised and developed more proactive approach to personal career objectives, coupled with an insistence on managing his own career. Suggested consideration of consultation direction for candidate, resulting in acceptance of an executive position on a Mayor’s task force representing the bank’s interests, expanding exposure and improving corporate image.

Senior Regional VP of Property/Casualty insurance firm involved in a changing culture and shift in corporate direction. Reviewed Birkman and career objectives, analyzed senior management focus and developed strategy to expand role. Recommended alternative career options, including external opportunities and entrepreneurial option. Conducted extensive analysis of managerial strengths vs. corporate interests.
