COMPANY PROFILE and PHILOSOPHY

The Gaskin Group has been created to partner with companies and organizations to promote the identification, development and enhancement of leadership skills of individuals, as well as the fostering of an empowering climate within the firm. Dr. Roger Birkman, creator of the acclaimed Birkman™ Assessment Method, states that, “Everyone can be a ‘10’ in the right environment.” This is where the individual is truly motivated and empowered. Our company operates within the principle that “when a person is hungry, you can give him a fish, and he’ll eat for a day. If you teach him how to fish, he’ll eat for a lifetime!” Our experience has proven that when leaders become aware of their most positive behavior styles and skills, and the environment is shown to value those strengths, then motivation, confidence and empowerment to actualize effective leadership will result.

Our company focuses initially on individual leader empowerment, aimed at identifying motivators and attributes that define positive and effective behavior styles. This is coupled with a comprehensive assessment of the mutually agreed upon business needs and objectives which lead to the development of a consistent action plan and measurements for achievement. As this is applied to critical business needs of executive leadership, management, effective supervision, customer responsiveness, strategic thinking and planning, a winning formula for success for our client firms is realized.

Our approach utilizes a comprehensive assessment of the individual leader, identifying interests, motivators and needs that define positive behavioral attributes that lead to maximum performance and success. This is combined with consultation and practical exercises, aimed at recognizing and capitalizing upon opportunities to solidify and apply positive leadership traits in actual business situations. This is a proven results-oriented concept that has increased individual leadership performance, upward mobility and ultimately, overall company productivity and success. This process, when applied throughout the organization, will enhance the organization’s ability to identify leadership potential, apply effective leadership development techniques and create a positive environment for growth within all levels. This will have the added effect of improving individual morale and motivation, addressing issues of employee discontent due to the lack of visibility, and promoting a more development-based, results-oriented environment in which all employees are empowered and energized for success.
